Network Administrator

1. Scope of working:

Network Administrator covers the areas of network infrastructure: LAN/WAN Management, Camera Security, Fiber Optic Connectivity, Data Centers, and IT Projects.

2. Duties & responsibilities:

  • Network Infrastructure Lifecycle Management: Manage the design, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of all network devices (routers, switches, WAPs) and integrated systems (CCTV, sound systems) across offices, warehouses, and mock-up houses, ensuring optimal network health.
  • Project & Deployment Leadership: Lead network project planning (including scope, timelines, Bill of Quantities, and proposals) and manage pre-deployment asset tagging for all IT and network equipment.
  • Network Reliability & Documentation: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including ISP coordination for connectivity (e.g., fiber optics). Maintain all network configurations, diagrams, and monitoring system records.
  • Other tasks assigned by the Deputy IT Manager.                             

3. Qualification & requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, routing, and VPNs
  • Deep understanding of network topologies (LAN, WAN, VPN, WLAN), protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols), and the OSI model.
  • Deep understanding of configuring, installing, and maintaining routers, switches, wireless access points, CCTV, and network operating systems.
  • Impressive ability in diagnosing and resolving complex network issues, including connectivity problems, performance bottlenecks, and hardware/software failures, using various diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to use network monitoring tools to track performance metrics, identify issues, and implement solutions for optimal network health.
  • Certified CompTIA Network+ and CCNA are preferred.

4. Working Days and Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 12:00pm & 1:00pm to 5:30pm
  • Lunch time: 12:00pm to 1:00pm

5. Workplace

  • Network Administrator: works at Peng Huoth Office (HQ) inside the Grand Star Platinum Project.

6. Relationship

  • Network Administrator: works under supervisor and reports directly to Deputy IT Manager.
