Video Editor

1. Scope of working:

The Video Editor is responsible for the post-production lifecycle of all digital video content. This role focuses on cutting, assembling, and polishing raw footage into high-quality, engaging videos—including promotional campaigns, project highlights, corporate testimonials, and social media content—while maintaining consistent brand standards and meeting tight deadlines.

2. Duties & responsibilities:

• Video Editing & Narrative Assembly: Review raw footage, select the best takes, and assemble them into cohesive, well-paced video sequences based on the project’s brief and objective.
• Audio Post-Production: Edit, clean, and synchronize audio tracks, including on-camera dialogue, voice-overs, sound effects, and background music, to ensure balanced and professional sound design.
• Graphics & Text Integration: Create and integrate clean on-screen elements, including lower-thirds, subtitles, text animations, logo idents, and smooth transitions, to improve visual clarity and engagement.
• Color Correction & Grading: Perform color correction to fix lighting inconsistencies across different clips, and apply basic color grading to establish a unified and premium visual mood.
• Media Management & Archiving: Systematically organize, label, and back up all raw footage, active project assets, and final renders to maintain an accessible digital media archive for future reuse or re-edits.
• Revision & Quality Control: Collaborate closely with the content or marketing team to implement feedback, manage video revisions efficiently, and ensure the final exported files match the required platform specifications (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, or TikTok).

3. Qualification & requirement:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Media Communications, Film Production, Graphic Design, or equivalent professional training/experience in video editing.
• Experience: 2–3 years of dedicated experience as a Video Editor.
• Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in industry-standard editing software, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Basic familiarity with Adobe After Effects (for motion graphics) and Photoshop is a major plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent time management to handle multiple project deadlines simultaneously, and a receptive attitude toward creative feedback and team revisions.

4. Working Days and Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 12:00pm & 1:00pm to 5:30pm
  • Lunch time: 12:00pm to 1:00pm

5. Work place:

  • The Video Editor: is based at Peng Houth Head Office, Video Department.

6. Relationship

  • The Video Editor: works under supervision and reports directly to the Video Production Manager.
