Architect – Shop Drawing

  1. Scope of Work:
    Architect transforms design concepts into precise 2D/3D shop drawings, site measurements, and BOMs for furniture and interior projects.
  2. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Technical Drafting & Modeling: Prepare precise 2D shop drawings in AutoCAD and 3D models in SketchUp, focusing on joinery details and furniture construction.
  • Site Verification: Conduct site surveys and on-site measurements to ensure technical drawings align perfectly with actual site conditions and constraints.
  • Documentation & BOM: Utilize Microsoft Excel to generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), cutting lists, and hardware specifications for the production team.
  • Factory Coordination: Collaborate closely with factory supervisors and carpenters to provide technical clarification and ensure production follows approved designs.
  • Revision Control: Manage and update drawings based on client feedback or design changes, maintaining clear documentation to prevent manufacturing errors.
  1. Job Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in furniture shop drawings, joinery, or interior fit-out manufacturing.
  • Detail Orientation: Strong ability to interpret complex architectural blueprints with high attention to technical accuracy and material specifications.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Khmer and English; Chinese language skills are a strong plus.
  • Professional Attitude: Honest, hard-working, and able to work under pressure to meet strict factory production deadlines.
  1. Working hours:
    Monday to Saturday: 7am to 11am and 1pm to 5pm. Lunch Break: 11am to 1pm.
  2. Workplace:
    Furniture Factory, located inside Borey Peng Huoth The Grand Star Platinum (Beoung Snor).
